1. Yes, it is my favorite game to play. I've stuck to it ever since I first discovered it. I just never really got addicted to any mainstream games as much as Soldat. Sure, I've had random bursts of playing a mainstream game non-stop, but I've always come back to Soldat. The combination of simplicity and fighting just got me addicted to it -- it's hard to explain.
2. I've just never really liked top-down shooters for some reason. Whether it's due to not being able to find a good game or just a general disliking for the style, I can't explain it. Could I see myself favoring a top-down shooter over Soldat if it was good enough? Isn't that question kind of obvious? If a top-down shooter is good enough to be better than Soldat, I would of course favor it. I wouldn't stick with a game just because I've stuck with it for a long time. If I find something better, I'll move onto it.
3. My favorite thing about Soldat would be how simple it is and how it still manages to be quite difficult.
4. My least favorite would be all the bugs and lag issues whilst playing online. If these things were gone, it'd be the greatest game in the world.

I've once tried CS2D, and that sucked ass. So no, no top down shooters. SOLDAT is the better choice, period.

CS2D? Pssh. THIS is a real topdown shooter.

What about Babo Violent 2? Why do yall prefer Soldat over it?

I just played that game and I gotta say, Soldat beats the living and dead feck out it in every way possible.

I still vouch for the awesomeness of Crimsonland, however.

Ragdolls > Spheres
Pretty much it, I guess. Soldat is one of the very few 2D shooters to successfully use ragdolls.

1. Is Soldat your favorite game to play? I.e. do you prefer it over mainstream PC/console games? Why or why not?
well frankly because i feel that many PC games rely too heavily on graphics and dont focus enough on gameplay and as far as console games are concerned there are some good games out there but at the end of the night im always playing soldat

top down shooters never really interested me much before and i dont think thats going to change

1. It used to be, but I now prefer stratagey games like Rome: Total War (with Lord of the Rings mod), Dawn of War and Company of Heros.

2. I can't remember many top-down shooters. The early GTA games maybe, but they were years ago.

3. Violently ripping-up Majors with my FN Minimi (with Ghost in the Shell mod) while wearing camouflage. Soldat's fast pick-up-and-play factor is good too.

4. What's your least favorite? The immature playerbase.
