Tom Clancy Rainbow Six
« on: December 08, 2007, 07:21:16 pm »
So I am reading the book now. It's swell and it's big. Over 1000 pages, but it's nice. It's nicely written, sort of boring for a page or two from time to time but it's very nice and builds up tension very nice.

Discuss, those who've read it or want to read it.

I didn't learn that 'till long after I played the game too. I read one Tom Clancy book and found it so mind numbing and unbelievable that i didn't get too far past page 100. I don't even remember the title; something about faulty Japanese cars.

I think you were just looking at real life :)

I never read his books, his stories aren't too good in my opinion, there are even Tom Clancy story generators online which shows how predictable they are. The setting never suited me either. I prefer something further away from reality.

I've read a couple of his first books. And they were good, but the newer ones are just... bland.

it surprises me that the books turned into a game serie instead of a movie...

There's a movie in production, set for 2010.
