Auto Grab

okay, picture this:

you are playin Toumaz'z Counter strike (or something) and you have a weap, but you are low on ammo and don't realize it, you walk over the same weapon from an enemy you just killed, and pick it up automatically because it had more ammo than your current weapon

that is this suggestion (not the toumaz part, the "automajikally pick up (same) weapons with more ammo then the one you are carrying" part)

this would work if you're out of ammo too (reloading)

helpful for Zombie matches, where if you carry a saw, you don't really have the time to reload (you will automatically get the dropped saws)

and maybe the FireInterval will still be used (to keep from infinite firing of barrets DX)

What?

This is a good idea, could help you in the OMFG-I'M-SO-DEAD-MUST-WEAKEN-ENEMY situation. F12.

Meh, It would be useful, but only if it's the same weapon.

Meh... if you're running out of ammo and you're standing on a weapon, it only takes a fraction of a second to throw yours and pick up the other one. Part of the fun is not knowing how much ammo is left in the other one.

It's not really worth the effort to implement.

Not worth the time...I mean, seriously, how many times are you walking along and see 2 of the same weapon on the ground? aside from trenchwar? Plus, how long would this last? Would you always be picking up a new weapon, or just for a certain amount of time after you got a new one? Cause either way it would suck. For instance, you suggest being able to switch during reloading. Well, say I WANT to wait an extra half a second for a full clip instead of taking a gamble EVERY TIME I WALK OVER A WEAPON.

...More reasons later if anyone actually supports this...

Um, no. Particularly if the weapon I happen to "auto pick-up" is a USSOCOM in favor of, say, a quick reloader like the MP5. The probability of this screwing you over is just too high. F11.
To sum up my point: We had a multipage debate about toilet padding. (Putting TP in the water so you don't get splashed.)

He ment that it would auto pick-up the same weapon you are using at the moment, but only if it has more ammo than yours. It wouldn't fuck you up in any case, but the idea is bad anyway, it would just make the game a bit easier. And, as -Vis- said, part of the fun is not knowing how much ammo is left in the other one.

It's like in Halo, you walk over the same weapon(with more ammo), and you pick up it's ammo (except the weapon you currently have "dies" and gets replaced by the "more ammo weapon" and the "more ammo weapon" gets picked up instead of pilfered from)
