Changing Blood/Removing

First of all, greetings to everybody. I'm new here, and partly new to Soldat. Well, anyways, I downloaded a blood pack, and changed all of the blood. I overwrote the 'ranny' folders with the new files to change it. However, when I started Soldat, the blood didn't change at all. Is there something else that must be done to change it? I'm using a mod, but I don't think that's the case, because the mod doesn't change the blood... And, I highly doubt this, but is it possible to remove all the blood completely? Thanks to everyone who answers.

The files you're looking for are in the sparks-gfx folder. They are blood.bmp, lilblood.bmp, and splatter.bmp.
To remove any of them completely, just write over all of them with the transparent color.

Okay... I did that, too, now, but still, nothing has changed. I changed it to transparent, but nothing's changed. It's still red, normal blood. Is there some other
thing
I'm missing other than just replacing the graphic files?
EDIT: Grammatical Error. >_>

It doesn't change Alpha Team, either... I'm using Heretic Soldat... Maybe there's another place where I have to put the blood?

Yes, Heretic Soldat changes the blood. Modding the default blood will not change the blood in that mod, and vice-versa.
Blood for when a player is damaged is located in the Gostek-gfx\ranny folder and the Gostek-gfx\team2\ranny folder, for each corresponding set of gosteks. The blood which comes out are the files Sparks-gfx\blood.bmp, Sparks-gfx\lilblood.bmp and Sparks-gfx\splat.bmp. Just to clearify things.
There's also an image for when the blood bounces off of a poly, but I forget what it is.

if you are using a mod you need to change the blood files in that modfolder (ex: C/soldat/mods/Heretic).
OR
you can just delete the ones of the mod so soldat will uses the default ones you already changed?
