There's no support for .png graphics on this board. Transparent color is black. Just check my avatar, it doesn't look nice

Upload it to
http://www.imageshack.us/
(< 90x90) and use that link as the option: "I have my own pic:" instead of uploading it to the board.

you could always just change the color of your picture.

Here's why it didn't work:
Your image was too big. The maximum allowed size is 90x90
or 100x100 (hell if I know, I'm only an admin).
These forums have this nifty feature where if someone posts an avatar that is too big, it'll download it, resize it, and store it on the server. In that process, it loses the transparency information.
You will be fine if you resize the image yourself. The information is only lost when you try using an image that is too big

nah, no need to lock. I'm trying out a new approach to adminning/moderating the forums, and that is:
if I don't go around locking everything, people won't spam. If I do start locking everything once the solution is found, they'll assume they can post crap in any unlocked threads.
Therefore I'm leaving solved threads like this unlocked, with the idealistic thought that people will be mature and realize that they should not spam

Oh my, that's a nice approach Flies, I'll try that in the lounge too
edit: I just realize this is completely off-topic and therefor spam -_-

[offtopic]
@Flies Like...etc. : In polish soldat board founder is able to lock his own topics. I think this would be useful.
