You used effects very nicely, and probably broke the record of 'amount of special fx used in a soldat movie / minute'.
It was too long, and most of the kills weren't spectacular, even though you tried to make them look awesome with the effects. Sometimes you went overboard though, with all the visual pimpin' up ending up distracting from the footage itself. The music used was boring, and unlike the best soldat movies ( sv|movie, Felix movie, etc ) it rather killed off my soldat mood instead of bringing it back. It didn't sync well either, felt like you just put metallica under a bunch of demos. Bad.
You don't need a plot, you don't need amazing stunts - you just have to blend everything together correctly, and you don't need tons of effects and ten minutes for that!
