overview thank you very much for not adding it.
judging by the number of polygons- this map is a huge lagment of a few big polygons which means lack of curves and has some annoying polybugs.
Definitely lack of shading.
Definitely lack of scenery variation.

WTF is wrong with you, you better pray to god that anyone even downloads this thing!

I'm not sure about the layout since the map name doesn't give any information about it and same goes for the screens.

2. ALWAYS put the map's gamestyle at the beginning of the title.

CTF = Capture the flag
HTF = Hold the flag
INF = Infiltration
DM = Deathmatch modes
TDM = Teammatch
KZ = Climbing map
RCE = Race map
DB = Dodgeball map
TW = Trenchwar map
MPK = Mappack (collection of maps)
VAR = Various (some very special gametype, like skijumping, Soldat-soccer,...)

I downloaded it, and it's just a volcano somewhere in grass fields that has nothing to do with a real one. Also it has Maximum fuel, and it dislikes me a lot.

it's my first map, and no, it has a lot of curves and no polybugs as far as i know. It's full of curves for fucks sake. What's an overview? And why are you people so harsh on new guys?

You know what horve? The more you post the more I feel sorry for you...

Bout the map:
An overview would be helpful but from what you posted... Some texture stretching won't hurt and you could also put some other kinds of scenery and colored grass (If using polyworks, just change it in the palette).

wow you both are epic failures. Braden + Laser Guy = the crap of the universe, pathetic enough, I will not give an explanation why I just stated this either, you know, to keep the tension. fair enough

Would you like me to gift you with flowers Braden, I mean would you like a cake or candy FOR THIS PIECE OF ... , come on dude, be a man, don't cry. When I said it lacks curves, it means that IT LACKS CURVES, YOU DO NOT QUESTION that. curves are not when two completely straight lines cross eachother, no, that is not what curves are.
Overview is a screenshot of THE WHOLE MAP. Read the mapping rules you donkey you.

Thanks Laserguy, that was the kind of reply I was hoping to get.

wow Laserguy should wipe your butt just in case you can't handle it.

And now for something positive from this personality called "Horve" that I came up with: You can do three time better maps than this, all you need is time and effort Braden, look at other maps that are successful and take pieces of this and that and in the end you will probably be ablo to come up with something as original as this, but with a better appearance.

Good luck private. Laserguy, pull your fist out of your arse, your "feeling sorry for someone on FORUMS" will automatically change its status.

Look, Horve, I have nothing against you or harsh map commenting (but no SO harsh...). You don't have to make other people feel they (or their work) is worthless/useless. Just help them, not put them into even deeper shit...

Assuming from the screenshots, this map will require more shading.  But the inside walls of the volcano is nicely done.  I suggest you change the texture to something more darker and rougher.  If this is your first map, it isn't bad at all and is actually quite good.

I would be able to provide more comments and suggestions if an overview was available.

braden - in polyworks:

Click 'View' > Click 'Fit on Screen' > then take a screen shot of your map and put it here.

Thats how you get an overview shot, as you still have failed to put on up...

Rather big filesize for a map. Repack the map and add the lava scenery or whatever. Also when packing the map, only pack the necessary folders. Don't make a Soldat folder to put them in. I want to extract to the Soldat folder, not take out the files and mess around with em.

Looky here. Hides nothing 'cept bottom.

I wasn't missing any files...so whatever. I guess you were going towards a nice happy volcano? Doesn't seem to want to erupt any time soon at least. Meh... I did you a service posting the overview.
