Actually it's Practical DPS is higher than Minimi's, AK's and AUG's. So in theory, Socom > AK/AUG/Minimi, from zero range.

i suggest the socom if you want to play it safe, otherwise you should use the knife since the ret with the knife make a killer combo as they balance each other out (long range, short range).

I tend to miss alot so i use socom, but sometimes i use the knife.
I rarely use the law or the saw and when i do i'm alright with it.

Well all wepons are good to conbine together only thing that is useless to combine is auto with soccom.Every ppl will use a wep he prefer and have the most skills on it.Well if i prefer playing with sniper but i don't i would use Combat Knife cuz this wep can go along with barret shoot and run tactic that is at least for me very hated but i use it anyway cuz is the best way to win with barret in 1v1 duel.But don't use Combat Knife if oyu don't have any skills on it.Ussocom is also good wep mostly to be used in barret duels cuz you can take your opponent down easily with it but don't attack from high range.Chainsaw is at least for me useles weapon.If you want to use it as secondary weapon don't use it in 1v1 duels but only in ctf.If you use it in ctf you need to have good skills in changeing of weps.If you don't have good timming you will get down but even if oyu have good timming you will be still dead before you can use it.So is almost useless weapon.And to the last one named LAW.This weapon is good as secondary but you need to use it (only for 1v1 duels) when enemy already shoot the bullet/s and have one reloading if you do when enemy still have (for sniper 1v1 duel) one bullet you will get killed cuz when you shoot it you need to hold a fire for some time.This some time is enaugh for clear barret shoot.So you should use one fo those 3 weps:-LAW
                       -Combat Knife
                       -Soccom

Which one? That is the question you need to answer by yourself noone can help you by that you need to decide which wep you can truly masterd and which is only wast of time.

saw is also a good weapon if you can move at top speed the whole time. not many people can go fast enough to do this.  snipe targets then superman in with a saw for the win.

I prefer SOCOM. Often, I end up getting more kills with it than the barrett itself. I shoot, and then if people are still coming at me, I pull out socom and pwn them.

Knife would be my 2nd choice, because you can throw it and do some major damage that way, but against a lot of enemies, 2 1 hit kill weapons dont cut it.

I dont like chainsaw at all, worst weapon ever IMO (ok, minigun is worse,but  maybe i just dont know how to use the saw right)

I wouldnt recommend the law neither. Too similar to barrett.

Socom or nothing really. Kill 1 with batty, nade 1 and 2-3 socom shots, nade the 3rd guy and 2-3 socom, nade the 4th and 2-3 socom and u instant win!

Socom, it can go with anything (besides a few autos)

It kills uber fast, I love it.

Ruger and Socom = perfect match. One has long range, one is short range with a higher rate of fire, and almost instant reload

I admit the SOCOM is quite fun but I really prefer the knife because if I'm in a cramped spot, reloading and half dead, there might not be enough time to completely kill a quickly approaching enemy with the SOCOM. This is where the knife comes in handy as it kills VERY fast and can travel a long distance to pick off people coming from most angles with ease. IMO the knife requires more skill than the SOCOM which may make it seem worthless at first glance.

I am a sniper in game.
It depends on the situation.
If you are defending the FFC, then I'd use M72 Law , because I'd probably be camping.
If I was going for the EFC, then I'd use knife .
I do sometimes use USSOCOM if I'd badly wounded someone with knife or grenade.
But normally you'll find me with a knife .
