I created this map over a two day span.  I tried to make a map with a Boxo style shading and polygon usage.  Overall, its a very simple deathmatch map that can be suitable for up to 4 players.  Spraying isn't a problem with some pillars that are "Only Bullets Collide".  This also is a completely default style map with no custom scenery or textures.  This is my mapping style.

Update:
Please re-download this map if you did before I did this update.  I accidentally set some of the pillars as "Normal" polygons and makes it impossible for you to leave your spawn point.

It looks very open, as a deathmatch map is supposed to look like ;)

The thing I don't like is the contrasts between the hidingspots and the polygons. The layout is also way too simple, it's like... Pure killing. I don't know if I'm going against the dynamics and stuff that dm is all about, but I thought there always had to be ways of gaining advantage because of brains, not because you can aim better.

In this map, I think the layout of the map requires some more polyblocks in the middle of the map.

The visuals are not that hitting, but that comes after the layout i done, right?
I think you need another layer of polygons to make it easier to shade.

Seems like an okay start of a map to me, nothing more or less.

Akira pretty much summed up what I was gonna say regarding the layout.

However, I believe those spray-blocking pillars only make the gameplay worse.  You're being far too concerned about spray; it's not even funny. :P  Since the map is so open anyway, why not just get rid of the pillars and add more jet fuel, say twice as much as it is currently?

I'm a little too concerned about spraying, but it is necessary.  This map would be like ctf_Dropdown2 but without the middle spray colliders.  The original had serious gameplay problems and fortunately the second fixed it.  It doesn't effect the gameplay that much, the map is about three screens wide and two high.

I set the Jet Fuel to normal.  Its plenty if you were to play with three other people.
