How to make detailed weapons?

Is there any tutorial out there? I can shade my weapons quite well, but the thing is, I can't really add any detail to them. They all look as if they were made from one piece of metal/plastic/wood. Can somebody teach me how to add detail to weapons, please?

And become another Rippmodder? You and wolfbr are eceptions in doing this good but dont promote this way for all new modders.

Why not? It's easy and makes good results. It's a great way to start out.
*edit* well, not just ripping it. That's never a good idea.


And I didn't say ripping texture, it's easy enough to pixel it.
