Frustrating wait

Purchasing Soldat hasn't been as hassle-free as advertised.
It has now been an hour and a half since I received the e-mail from Plimus stating that the order is being
"reviewed by our staff for quality purposes"
, saying that this process should be
completed within a few minutes
but to
please allow for at least 12 hours to hear back from us.
I considered posting about this in the fisting forum, but eventually decided against it on account of
1) I genuinely wanted to point out that the claim of
"play the full version within minutes"
has now become
"play the full version within hours,
maybe
, we're not really sure"
, and
2) a new member on the boards should probably have a post count higher than 2 before he has earned the right to really complain about anything
In all seriousness, though - and excuse my subtle humor - has this ever happened to anyone else? I don't think I've heard of others waiting for hours before they got their registration key. Either way, and to the point: I wanted to let people know that you should take the
"get your full version in just minutes"
statement with more than a pinch of salt. Hopefully this is just the one percent case with the 99 others experiencing a flawless execution. Otherwise, please be mindful not to get peoples' hopes up by claiming they'll have the full game mere minutes after submitting their VISA information.
Now I play the waiting game.
___
Edit 1: Now I'm being asked to supply and verify a PHONE NUMBER for an internet VISA purchase? You have a bloody order form, the form has been filled out, you have the credit card information you requested, and from the
Norwegian form
you asked I fill out you also KNOW I'm in Norway, so why the hell do you also need to call me, a Norwegian, over here in Norway in the middle of the night to speak to me in English about my order? I
should
have posted this in the goddamned fisting forum after all, because this is utter BS. Screw it, I'm canceling my order. Soldat is great, but I'm not taking this nonsense.
Farking bull.
___
Edit 2: I also can't contact Plimus via their support section because "the reference number you have supplied is being processed", so I cannot talk to any of them about this, cancel my order, or basically get anywhere.

subject Re: (Ref# ########) Thank you for ordering Soldat-Registered Version
Hello,
The phone number I originally supplied is totally valid, or it should be
if the order form didn't eat the area code. But that begs the question,
why is this even an issue? I'm being asked to supply and verify a PHONE
number for an instant internet VISA purchase? You have the order form, the
form has been filled out, you have the credit card information you
requested, and from the NORWEGIAN form you asked I fill out you also know
that I am in Norway, so why is it necessary to also CALL me, a Norwegian,
over here in Norway in the middle of the night to speak to me in English
about the order which, when I submitted it, was advertised as
would-be-completed within minutes? It is now more than three hours later,
I have been waiting for your responses, the clock has passed midnight, and
I cannot even use the support section on your website to speak to anyone
about this, review, or cancel my order.
Give me solutions, please; your personnel calling me in the middle of the
night to verify a valid fourteen dollar internet order is not the way to
win hearts and minds, exactly. If speaking to you directly over the phone
is the only solution then I will weather it, but I won't be keen on using
anything with your services on them again.
xx & xx xxx,
Norway

Apologies to the dwellers of this forum who could probably care less. This is just getting sad. Moderators, feel free to move this wherever if you need to, and I apologize for spewing this crap over the general forums. I certainly didn't expect this crap when I made the post. Norwegian buyers beware, Plimus has no idea what Norway is, what time zone it's in, or how to make phone calls there. (Hint: It's a country with fjords, it's +1 GMT, and it's +47, respectively)

You should PM MM about this, because sure something went wrong.
I am nicely surprised to see a newbie writing a non-insultive and grammatically correct rant though. Welcome to the forum even despite your bad experiences.

Thanks for the words, Überschall. Yeah, now that my initial moment of pure irritation has passed - despite the actually increasing BS factor - I just want to get this over with so I can enjoy Soldat and help MM out financially, because contrary to what I said in my post, Soldat is bloody well worth it, and MM certainly deserves the love.
Just unfortunate.

Soldat's PayPal orders
are
for Plimus, but yes, it is possible I would have had more luck that way.
As for an update, right now I'm pretty amused. Plimus sent me several e-mails all through the night telling me they require a response
immediately
or they will not be able to process the order. Never mind the fact that they were all sent in the early-digit AM (also known as sleep time), and no surprise: None of the e-mails they sent were a response to the one
I
sent yesterday to the only e-mail address of theirs I could find -- the sales one, from which they send out order confirmations.
Yes, there is in fact no Plimus contact information to be found anywhere, beyond that of those wishing to register as a vendor. You would think an
internet secure payment company
would be reachable over the
internet.
But the icing came in their final e-mail. There they stated that they have been forced to decline the order, as they have been sending me several e-mails that I have not responded to while I was asleep when such was required of me. They also said to send them an e-mail for further clarifications or requests should that be desired. The e-mail address they supplied was the one I wrote to yesterday.
It's enough to make you laugh until you cry.
BRB, trying again with Paypal.

That seems like way to much effort for something that's supposed to be instantaneous.
I'd say just cut your losses, if any, and leave it at that.

Well, after taking the advice Plimus gave me in their final form letter - that of re-submitting my order - and subsequently being sent
another
message claiming they cannot process the
new
order, and as a reason gave me some random error message you'd need a cryptographer to understand, I kind of realized that someone really doesn't care about me.
I've sent them a large e-mail thoroughly detailing all of the problems they've sent my way and requesting they actually answer my inquiries for once and fix whatever's wrong. I also sent MM an email plus a copy of the Plimus one, letting him know what's going on. I'm not sure what they're currently working on, but all of a sudden they're thanking me for an order I didn't place and sending me links to pages containing or explaining very little. At least I'm getting responses now - just really, really weird ones.
And there's no need to cut my losses as I haven't sustained any. The credit card was never billed, and the work - and its insight into the wonderful world of customer support - has been fascinating in its stupidity. Still, like I told MM, Soldat is
more
than worth the asking price. I can certainly live without the registered version of Soldat, and to encounter all of this when I am merely trying to support Michal is just insult to injury.
I think my feelings at this point can be summed up pretty neatly:

Don't read whole post but it's about that you wait and registration key don't comes. Am I true?
If yes then I must say that I waited 3 days for mine.
Btw: Read more. Cash or stuff. They can't leave you like that.
