inf_Snow_Z

Finally, after 14 hours of work, I (again) release inf_Snow_Z, mostly based off tw_Rime. In fact, it uses the same texture, the same turret "podium" idea, bunkers (not copy-pasted). It even has the same overload of scenery, without the FPS drop. It's really open, with a little bit of jets, and for the first time an easy map. Bravo can't cap now, compared to my previous Forest which Mr. Domino tested, with Alpha getting owned cause they could not stop Bravo from capping. The zombie casing things in the bravo building was taken from Vice's XomborgUnity without permission. @Vice: Sorry for ripping it. If you don't mind me taking it, thanks alot. I tried to fill up the top of the hill with one of my backgrounds, failing badly and then decided to put a little jeep there. This is one of my few maps which wasn't released on the same day developement started.

Personal notes

Yeah, I do admit the bridge was kinda sloppy. I'm still proud of this. As people have said in Forest, something about Vig's comments pushing me on to make something better, it is true for this. I was hoping I could get a normal comment, like the one in Drift2. I'm thinking this could be changed into a TW/INF map.

P.S This is a zombie map, for those who don't know. (Like El_Spec :D)

This is undoubtedly your best map ever. I love the shading / texture. The scenery combined with that makes it even better. The background color blends pretty well with it all.

Great job, man!

I really love the background hills. I really look forward to scoring some caps on this map in the zombie server ;). Awesome.

One of the better ways to learn about writing fictional novels is to copy off of someone else's plot (aka Paolini copying off of Tolkien), and similar goes for Soldat maps. If someone makes an awesome map and your working towards becoming a great mapper, work off their ideas at first :P. I tried to do the same for one of my maps...

You probably can't see it ingame, but in the middle, it looks odd to suddenly cut off to black like that.

That's not an infiltration map, that's a TW map.

It's a zombie map.

It just has potential for a TW map.

Yes, yes..

Anyone capable of doing so, feel free to edit my map into a TW map without TOUCHING THE LAKES at all.

You should edit this into a TW map yourself :P. Then you have truly made good the time you spent working on this, and you could then say it was fully yours as well (minus ideas etc).

Looks good I'd play it. Pretty balanced, fairly big, lots of places to defend, but still easy to attack. Looks nice visually. Yeah I'd play it. Looks a little easy to just shoot off randomly with barret though, its pretty flat.

I wouldn't recommend modifying this into a TW map.  It has plenty of maps anyway.

The map itself, I can only really say is really good.  From all the maps I've seen, I would say this is your best.

Did someone delete my post?

Arbiter, its a good map but might just be for TW. When I play it I can easily dodge the zombies.

While I like it that you're abandoning the style of making some aspects of zombie maps painfully tight, the large background sceneries makes it laggy as hell. :(

Yeah, I know. I need my laptop back. Bizitches.
