I had my lights turned out while I was at school, but nor during the actual "hour". But that's normal for me.

Seriously, what the hell..we already have an earth day. Why not extend the whole "turn your lights off" nonsense to that day instead of throwing out this "hour" stuff.

Fake edit: Oh wait, the earth hour thing is a part of earth day? Durr...goes to show you how much I pay attention to earth day. Oh well..turned my lights off, I'm not to blame.

I turned all my lights off. They were energy saving lights though. D:< but i think the computers going all made up for it. i mean, We just bought this big LCD HDTV, and it was going all day. aswell as 3 computers. I dont even get the point of turning the lights off. Oh and not to meantion the Fridge, the beer fridge, and the Freezer, and the BEER Freezer... + the pool filter...

These energy ideas just arent smart.(couldn't think of a better word). Theres no way everyone in the world is ever going to be energy efficient, so long as we aren't cavemen.

Its symbolic. yes 1 hour is nothing. But the important thing is to raise people's awareness.

You are a moron. Okay, I'll admit that if anyone who didn't already realize that leaving your light on all night could be bad for the environment learns something from this, it could have a use. But unless you actually change your habits (such as only turning your lights on when you need them for the rest of the year) then this is an empty gesture.

i really don't understand why people even care. Like we really care how our great great grandchild dies. We aren't gonna meet them or anything. We will all be 6 feet in the ground so whats the big deal.

There is no real point to this pollution thing, it only gets hotter right now because we are coming out of an ice age. Every time a human / animal farts, we add pollution... everything is about pollution now - a - days so i just choose to ignore it

I wouldn't go that far. Just because things warm and cool naturally doesn't mean we should just pump tons of crap into the atmosphere now that we're more familiar with the effects. There's a difference between naturally occurring and needlessly occurring pollutants.
