im not much of a painter so when i started it was suppose to look rlly cool but it ended up..not so cool...

From the screenshot I can see that the explosion isn't centered. The middle of the smoke is where the center of the explosion would be. The only explanation I can think of is the image you're using is too small and thus is to the left of where it should be as it has smaller dimensions.

Not particularly good, but it's reasonable since you're new to modding.
