Chainsaw does damage when thrown.

I searched for anythink related to this idea, but found nothing.

The idea is that when you push F, while you are holding the chainsaw, and the chainsaw hits someone it will give them damage, or even kill them.
Or maybe when you push f it can be thrown, kinda like the knife,  and fly through the air and hit someone.

I'm kinda confused as to why you wouldn't just use the knife.

Ok. If you could throw the saw, you wouldn't be able to throw it very far, because it would make the knife obsolete. And if you couldn't throw it very far, you wouldn't waste your time trying to run close to someone to throw it at them... you'd just try to saw them in the normal fashion.

It just seems a bit pointless.

I think this was discussed already on the "Disarming chainsaw" thread.

Anyways I'd say NO. Because this could make knife useless. What with needing good timing to stab unlike the chainsaw.

Yeah, this has been disscussed and I dont like it because it reduces the advantage the knife has over the saw.  And anyway, just how far can you throw a chainsaw?  Probably no more than several feet.

I think that chainsaw is not for throwing BUT a similar thing could do:
You throw the chainsaw while crouching or proning and chainsaw go automatic through terrain killing and destroying legs during a few feets or meters.

It could be fun.

I don't know if you can understand because of my crap english...

this has been discussed and NO
minor lag issues will complicate things.  if you notice when you shoot at fallen weapons or boxes (usually not over internet games but if u start your own LAN game) they fly around like crazy.  imagine chainsaw flying around like that.  it's just not gonna happen...
