Anyone know where to get more transitions/video fx for sony vegas pro 8?

Don't use any transitions except fades or immediate cuts.

And you really don't need any more effects. Pan/crop, hue/sat/lum adjust, color curves, that noise and image distortion filter (I think it's called TV simulator), the blending modes, and color balance are the only truly useful effects.

99% of all other transitions and effects are completely useless, and the other 1% are rarely used correctly.

I will use a couple of transitions that I think look good, and when you guys 'criticize' my trailer I will make necessary changes.

I don't have that, and I got the Pro version, any download links? because I would like a plugin that makes the video jitter like a semi broken monitor, instead of doing manually in the pan/crop window thing.

Yeah I hate all those overly 3D transitions as well, I thought maybe people had made some good ones.
