Flagen style
« on: May 20, 2008, 11:44:39 am »
Thought I'd come up with a term to describe this sort of maps. Basically what makes them exciting is that the conventional grab & escape = cap rule doesn't apply (examples: Laos, Run, Viet, Voland), since grabbing is only the unbalancing factor and there's a high chance that the EFC won't make it (examples: Cobra, Ash to some extent, Nuubia).

I'd say cobra is the best example though: grab the flag, escape low, get killed, try again (unless you have good teamwork :)). When flags aren't in their bases, the game is much more exciting, isn't it?

This said, I think we need more Flagen-styled maps! For example: http://img215.imageshack.us/img215/7241/namnls77qr2.png, from http://forums.soldat.pl/index.php?topic=27171.0
