PS2 Headset

The other day i bought a usb Headset/microphone for the ps2, but the thing is i bought it used because it was half price, though, i'm not sure if it works or not.

All i did was plug it into the ps2 but is there something else i have to do to get it working? I mean the light on it turns on and the mute button works im guessing. I've been playing battlefield 2 online and it looks like people are talking but i dont hear anything and i dont think they can hear me.

Is there an option in game that i have to turn on/enable? or do i have to somehow 'install' it to the ps2? or is it just broke?

Well are you sure they can't hear you?  In my opinion, I would never buy a electronic device used.  Check to make sure you can hear them, or they can hear you.  Other than that it could be broken.

I'm not sure they can't hear me because i can't hear them to ask if they can hear me... it was only 14.99, so if it doesn't work, not a major loss.

There has gotta be someone here who has a/had a ps2 headset...

why not yell at them, then type a chat message to see if they can hear you? That seems like the logical thing...
And yes, i'm aware this is a Ps2, but you can hook up a keyboard to chat okay...
Otherwise I have no clue...

Google the name of the headset and try to find out if anyone had similar experiences.

Unplug it. Can you hear them talking through the normal TV speakers? If you can then the headphones are probably broken. Are they plugged in correctly? Is there a microphone toggle button or a volume wheel?
