I'm having trouble with my router.
« on: June 01, 2008, 01:38:00 pm »
I have a NetGear Wireless-N RangeMax router, and I don't know where the setting are for it.  I want to connect my Wii to the Internet to play some Super Smash Bros. Brawl online.  I googled a lot and only found out that theres a http address for routers these days.  I couldn't find the one for mine.  Will you guys help me?  I would be very appreciated.  ;)

Are you looking for your router's admin panel? That's usually at one of these: http://192.168.1.1 , http://192.168.0.1 or something really close to that. My netgrear router is the first one I mentioned.

But yeah, are you trying to get into your router's setup to change the wireless settings so your wii can connect to it? Can you please describe your setup with more detail?

if you need to access your router you can use http://routerlogin.net
However, only change stuff if you're POSITIVE you know what you're doing.

Lol, I don't know my username, I only the password for my router.  How do I find out about my username?

Btw, jrgp, my router's identification is WNR834.

What are you on about? To connect your Wii to the internet you just go in the Wii internet options, find your router on the list, input the password if there is one, and you are online.

Post the error then.

If you for some reason want to acess your router, just go to 192.168.1.1.

the username should be "admin" and the password should be "password"

The error is 52031, and sometimes 52131.  I searched it on the Nintendo Wii site and it is a router error in which a SPI Firewall is blocking.  The SPI firewall I believe is used for packets.

I did, it worked.  I went on, and I disabled the SPI firewall.  And it works now.
