I hit 265 on a trenchwar map sniping from one spawn to the other.

Yeah, this is extremely easy to do if the map is symmetrical and there isn't obstructing a straight line between the spawns.
If the shot was of this distance but in a completely different way from what I said above, then it'd be record worthy.

Not surprised, you can actually shoot a really long distance and still hit and kill. I remember I used to spawn in one of the duckhunt maps and this particular inf map I can't remember.

Trenchwar maps are the ultimate when it comes to long-range blind-fire kills, which I typically refer to as "artillery sniping" in-game. Once you get a good feel for how the map is (the minimap often helps here) along with the behavior of the Barrett, you can place shots in places like choke points that you know someone will be more often than not. 'course, you can easily get kicked for spraying once you start hitting a spree, but that's the price to pay. That and bullet skipping make us Trenchwar snipers annoying little bastards sometimes.
