Just wondering whats so bad about it.   :-\

I love this map,  I love the look of it, and the layout is really good for jets :)

Some say its all bumpy and too many obstacles, but if you used the jets and jagged terrain to your advantage its one of the easiest maps to fly around.

As for camping, its friendly, the tall buildngs offer plenty of cover form barret fire, and its really hard to get a shot all the way to the enemy base.  Maybe they can be used for non-base / scenery camping but name a single map in soldat that you CANT camp in?

It's crap.

For one instance, all the background images and flashy scenery lagged up slower computers. The terrain was bumpy, which was annoying when you wanted to land. Due to it being overly huge it massively sucked in 3v3 games, where you couldn't even find your enemy most of the time, as everyone was just rocket boosting or spas surfing, with one or two defenders in the base.

May it burn in hell for all eternity.

I don't mind it too much, it's a great map for the good ol' ret and law. Would've been a lot better if it had lower jets.

Gather/Cw wise: ^Demonic covered it. Spas boosting, minigunning, m79 jumping were used way too much in order for it to be a proper round.

I find these excuses not very convincing

Why is this map particularly prone to bink surfing?

and spraaay?
, the tall buildngs offer plenty of cover form barret fire

Demonic pretty much summed it up.  I didn't like it because it was too GFX heavy for a default map.

Visually, it's probably Demonic's best, game-play, it's his downfall.

The three towers just get in the way. The "doorways" don't align with the "ramps" before them perfectly, especially when you use jet.

The map isn't very smooth and fluid. Besides, this was back in the days when Wraithsecks used a lot of non-default scenery, so who/what can we blame?

Tru it aint the gr8test map i've ever seen, but there are worse.
If it moulded together more smoothly it could be really good, the towers are obstacles big wow :/.
Obstacles just increase the skill level and the options available.

Don't put the blame on him.  VTT started the whole ultra-realistic aesthetics plague; Wraithlike was just afflicted by it is all.

I don't mind the map too much, but I will agree that the layout is not the best. The towers just don't work well. If it's in the map cycle on a server, I'll still play it though. I've had some amazing knife kills on it.

I honestly didn't see it played enough in gathers or cws to develop much of an opinion on it. From the few times I did play it, it was, as others have stated, pretty much just a bunch of spas, M79, and miniboosting.

ctf_Run

Run is not as open, and I rarely see anyone miniboosting, m79 boosting, or anything of those sorts in that map when gathering/cwing.
