Page load times... Wtf?

Something's up, It is taking freaking ages for them to load, the actual threads that is. The main index page loads in .84 seconds. But it can take up to an indefinite time for the threads to load. So wtf is going on?

Some times the pages won't even load, it will just sit here and come up with the loading bar and then nothing.

I've been cut back to 56k, but it's never ever this bad...

40 seconds is for DNS timeout, the datacenter I'm hosted in lost power last night.  Everything should be better now.  My primary DNS server lost power and since it was completely offline instead of refusing connections, it took upwards of 40 seconds to timeout before the forums would try the second dns server.

The problem was the server waiting for DNS lookups for images and such, whereas now that is much better.  It wasn't a connection or CPU load issue.
