If you have another explosive, you could always shoot the grenade and make it explode.

Not a bad idea about the "grenade cooking", but not really necessary.

I would say yes to cooking if grenades had a much bigger AoE and didn't already explode on contact. So I am going to say no.

The longer lasting nades make good mines to spray at base. :)

Or they could make two types of grenades. Fast detonation and whatnot...

No way in hell..  Why would you want this anyway?  It would be useless in any game situation and would complicate the use of nades.
