Switched from Sniperline to Without

I liked back in the day modding the weapons gfx to show the bullet arc
though, it was only when shooting sideways, flat, and to the right. except with barrett, great fun those days were.

If you're playing fullscreen, try adjusting to windowed mode. I imagine the sniper line can be useful for a beginner so they can keep an eye on their enemy whilst knowing 'where' you'll be firing from without having to look at your own position. Smaller window, more to be seen in a smaller focus. If that makes any sense.

I was playing on my brother's computer. He has big crt monitor(22''). It's quite fun playing with such huge screen ^^'. (Of course fullscreen option was turned on). I have never played in windowed mode. I think it won't help aiming anyone...with sniperline on or not.

congrats. i havent been playing for long, and it didnt take long to get rid of my sniperline. I assume (duh) that youve been playing for a long time. It doesnt really change much, i try to aim with an imaginary (but far more accurate) sniperlineĀ  .

Okay, I've officially switched from using sniper line to without sniper line. I also changed my crosshair to suit the changes.

I found that
- I can STILL aim my (but not as good):
DEs, MP5, Socom

-Can't aim my:
AK-74, Spas-12, Ruger 77, Barrett, Knife (could never aim my knife, now it's even worse)

-Can now aim my:
Steyr Aug (now I know why pple say its accurate)

Other weapons, I'm not sure.



Now, any tips for someone who has only just started using no-sniper line and had been using sniper line for a very long time of playing Soldat? Includes aiming tips for all the weapons now that my aim has basically gotten worse without the sniper line.

For all autos if you're a snipor, put you're sensitivty to like 60-70. It also helps curve bink.

depends on how your aim works.. you could try to make a mathematical system .

i actually do this when aiming subconciously, not mathematical per se but when aiming bullets with curved arcs i adjust my cross hair appropriately(it's hard to explain)

Bullet arc:

Try shooting a gun. Any gun maybe except Barrett because for Barrett it's not obvious.

Notice that the bullet will not fly straight at where you point your cursor. It will curve downwards. This is the bullet arc. The lower your bullet speed, the shorter your gun's range, the more the bullet curves, and the slower the bullet moves.

Okay, I just noticed that I'm having problems aiming at close distances, but at long distances I don't seem to heavily affected. It seems like I'm panicking when I don't look the furthest I can (still a bit used to sniper line). Oh, my sensitivity is 65, but I'm quite fine with it (but I am okay if you suggest any mouse sensitivty range). My mouse is a Razer mouse, model RZV-1000. I play full-screen only, and I'm not a registered player.

I did read Mancer's aim guide only just recently btw. The one with the 8 rules right?

What should I do?

Practice, and move your cursor to people so at close distances you are almost always on them no matter what gun you use. And if you say you play full only that's fine, some people do, but I recommend trying smaller.

I used to use sniper line. Now, I don't even snipe anymore.

you'll eventually slip into playing without it. I started playing with it, but most servers disable it. It'll take some time to get used to.
