slow health regain from medikit

I dunno if this has been suggested yet, but....

Instead of the kit giving you full health instantly, how about it slowly reloads your health? I dont mean a minute or anything, just 2 or 3 seconds. Ammo and fuel behave the same way, why not health?

I like this suggestion. Will void a personal dislike of mine, people that run all over your base's health packs while you're gunning them (and always out of nades... because luck hates me).

How would this affect picking up multiple health packs at once (because if you don't heal all the way immediately then you'll keep picking them up)?

im thinking of a transparent bar behind the health bar that represents the healing process. The health bar would slowly climb toward the end of the other bar. It would start at full, and if the transparent bar is full you cant pick up any more medikits. When you get hit, your health and the transparent bar will go down. If youve played diablo II then you would know what i mean.

Similar ideas like these have been suggested, due to the fact that health pickups recover health instantly.

For me, I'm against this idea. It would slow down Soldat's gameplay in a way. People will still shoot you when you try to grab the medkit in hopes of stopping you, but this is the difference:



1. Knowing that you will only regain health slowly, they won't feel so much of an urge to quickly kill you, slowing down gameplay in a way.

2. This will create strong buffs to weapons, resulting in weapon imbalances. Espeically guns like the Ruger, which is already potentially overpowered in some sense.

3. Now whenever people grab the health kits, they start running. The fight isn't gonna get intense, gameplay is going to be slowed down.



So, I'm against this idea.

I was only thinking about it being slow enough that picking up a health kit wont save you from those last couple of bullets, but fast enough that you can be ready for the next battle. One or two seconds.

Soldat is too fast paced for implementations such as these. Most clanwar successes are based on your ability to quickly kill the inc, rush to the other team's base, sex machine a couple of meds, then nade/knife the spawnings and jack the flag after you killed everyone.

EDIT: change sex machine to hore. What a random replacement by the swear filter.
