Having nades and meds in that one spot can have someone sit there and heal a lot while spamming nades the whole time since there are no other nade/med spawns.

I'd say put no grenades or meds, now that would make it more fun. Something new for a change.

As it is, suowarrior's post concerning random medikit spawning would mean that it could spawn in areas other than its designated spawn area. The gameplay is much too fast for people to actually camp at the bottleneck, since it would quickly become full of bullets.

.

Have you even tried this map in-game yet? It's waypointed...

At first, I thought this would biggest spray and camping fest of all-time.

Although the concept of having to bounce around the map is unique, it plays like a dead cow trying to give birth.  It reeks, it's hard as **** to move around this map preciously and chances are, players will usually never be in contact with one another due to the fact they're too busy bouncing all over the damn place.

And you forgot the scenery barrier.png and the texture.  The map ended up looking up like crap, but even with the texture and scenery, it probably still would look like crap.

Eh...the only "good" thing about this map is the concept, but it fails due to the fact the gameplay is horrible.  And you fail as well.

You fail at trying to be like Vig.

Ehm, the bounces are pretty accurate if you know how to do it. The bots know how to do it too, so you're continually in contact with bots all the time in most places. Plus, the high route is possible if you use the boosting technique.

And I couldn't really say that this map isn't weapon-specific. A barrett-m79 fight would do to get the fun factor out of this. I don't know why I like this map myself kinda, but I like how the bots manages to bounce their way to the middle part. I'm still trying to make the waypoints work correctly so the bots can cap. I've made changes to it every now and then still, but the backflips are very hard to do bot-wise.

...maybe you can one-up me on this concept? I'd like to see you try since a few people have done this kind of thing before and it didn't really turn out well. (Pinball climb maps are fun but they're hard as hell to cap.)

No jets because I really don't think this map is any trouble at all, since there's no deadly polgons when you fall off the platforms. And the fact you can do multicaps easily without jets is another reason why I didn't put it on there. It could be that I wanted the map to be challenging to waypoint.

It's a pretty valiant effort, but I think it's too hard of a map to create at all, at least without some catcher at the bottom which would be the 'slow' or 'camping' way, I tried it and I think that the top should not be deadly, since a sniper could pick off any people that were bouncing towards them.
My first bounce didn't work, as I was choosing my weapons so I just slid off it down to respawn, then my second bounce went straight over to the deadly, so I figured you'd have to control it and land on the flag platform at least.
So I added a Boogie Man, and he made it to the middle about 1/6, then from there he would fall off just before the flag.
So yeah I think that maps like this are just not supposed to be attempted :P

The only launch pad that can easily get you across the map is the one to the left of the flag (from alphas perspective) below the spawn. If you're lucky, the one you spawn on won't launch you onto the roof or into the one right below the roof which 9 times out of ten will send you flying below the map. The launch pad on the right side of the flag platform (from alphas perspective) and the one across from it in the middle platform are both essentially useless, as every time I tried to use them, I slid off or was launched below the map.

It is a great concept, but I don't think it was done very well. Perhaps more usable launch pads, or a little bit of jets, or a floor of some kind.

Coincidentally, I made a DM map like this for fun a few weeks ago, but it had jets and walls.

I see that those moderately hideous yellow platforms are bouncy polygons, wee, but it isn't such a good idea since the play will be too (imagine the speed at which a player travels and then imagine bullets flying right towards the player, death in a matter of m.seconds) fast and can't even imagine this with a lot of players, with bouncy poly's this map could be wider and placing player spawnpoints right above the boinkers isn't a very good idea either.
The bouncers aren't the only moderately ugly things about that map either you know, reminds me of a purple fanny convention. AND WHERE THE FOK IS THE SCENERY

P.S.
Peduron (<<< no offence)

Quit your girlish whining about the lack of sceneries--there are sceneries, but I don't want them to disrupt the PURPLEZZZ. And what the deuce is a peduron? All I can connect the word to is pedophile, AND THAT MAKES NO SENSE.

P.S.
why so serious?
