@O.R.I.O.N.: Atlas FTW. I think your sig. might be disobeying forum rules, tho' (too many graphics).

The delay is so short it doesn't even matter. If the delay bothers you that much, you're just poor with the weapon. In fact it personally helps me concentrate better :P

i dunno about the delay...
same with knife takes a lot of speed away,
but i think it's better... no longer overpowerd weapons.

and it gives m79ers a chance against the barret

Do you guys even know how short the delay is? Its half a minigun delay, which is half a second. A QUARTER OF A DAMN SECOND like 15 miliseconds
Yeah. 60 milliseconds in a second. ::) In other news, I agree with you.

But while waiting for it to reload someone can kill you

It's supposed to be a weapon, pls. NO longer delay or bink.. It's already next to useless in CW's.
Are you kidding?

The barret is still one of the favourite weapons in the alt route, along with m79. Even with the short delay, the enemy has a very small time to react and kill you. Time your shots right and tbh, there ain't much that can stop you then.

the berret's shot delay is waaaaay to long, in real life the berret wouldnt have a delay, and also its a hard wepon to master and when i finnally mastered it the delay was put on >:(
In real life it is semi auto and takes like half a second to reload because of the clips, if u did that, it would be a death machine. I actaully like the delay because I have saved myself quite a few shots on my own team because of it.

Except they can use spray to hit me before I even see them. Almost every clan utilizes some sort of spray. In effect the delay allows the barret to be sprayed.

It's actually the main point of the delay dude. I don't know if you remember back in the days how annoying was the barret, since (((almost))) everyone used it and it was really easy to master. I think it's normal to spray against a barret and I can tell you that if you are a very good player, you won't be hit by the bullets since you can hide or simply move fastly.. Once again, good barret players are still pretty much unstoppable at the very moment.

Oh and Ziem, I use the barret in cws mostly when I don't wanna really focus on the game, this shows how easy it is.

Barret is still one of the easiest weapon and I think it needs a bit more bink.

adding to delay would cause some problems.  first off, it would have little to no effect on how easily its users could aim it, snipers rapidly adjust to knowing when their bullets are coming out.  so the only remaining reason is the delay after people decide they are going to shoot the gun.  in that case, people will start warming up the gun and cancelling constantly in case someone comes around the corner, which will cause the barret to have a random usefulness based on how long it was warm before they found you.  i warm up the minigun and cancel all the time, because its delay is long.  i dont care if i mispelled barrett. sorry.

Barrett is cool guys leave it alone. I don't want to have to learn when to pull the trigger once I see the enemy again!

Um, a millisecond is a thousandth of a second.  So that's 250 milliseconds, actually.

-.- No, a second has 100 milliseconds.

So that's 25 milliseconds.

Ontopic - Barret is fine the way it is. I still see M79 as a more annoying problem.

No, Milli = 1000 (1000 in French = Mille is how I remember it). It's 250 milliseconds.

Just to confirm, I did mean that 1 millisecond = 1/1000 of a second, and that a quarter of a second is 250 milliseconds, not that there are 250 milliseconds in a second.

I always thought it odd how there were a thousand millimeters in a meter but thought there were a 100 milliseconds in a second. I guess I just got confused by those digital watches that show only 2 digits for the milliseconds when in stopwatch mode.

Thanks for correcting me. :D

Mille is latin.
