"windows cannot find c:\windows\system32\rundll32.exe"

I dont know what happend but, recently i have not been able to go into Add/Remove Programs, and other control panel options , it gives me the "windows cannot find c:\windows\system32\rundll32.exe" error. i have looked on the web how to fix this but they all bring up this dumb RegCure antivirus thing that i have to pay for to get a use out of it. anybody have an idea how to fix this?

Either you have a virus that disguised itself as rundll32 (which as the name implies, runs dll.s,) and overwrote the original rundll32, or you removed the .exe from your processes list. Can you show us a list of all your computer processes? If the exe isn't there, you might need to reformat.

i dont have it in my process list. and would another persons rundll work? or would that just jack up my computer?

well i tried that file he gave me, and it works. but i have to click "ok" when it asks me to run rundll.exe, instead of it just going to add/remove programs.

Yes, viruses typically mod important windows files, like rundll and explorer. If you start getting errors related to these files, all you can do to definitely fix the problem is reinstall.

Not true, i had some "file missing" error at startup some time ago...
It seemed to fix itself lol <_<'
And also with little knowledge, you can fix everything (unless microsoft says else)

Yes, running windows updates, system restores, and installing some programs can fix these errors but reinstalling will always fix all of them in one shot immediately.
