Never said it was gonna be my avatar, It's only a test with APNG support so you can see how powerful is it with the alpha channel...

Only bit I don't like is at the end when the original just appears, would be better if it looped back and forth or the original faded in again.

Other than that it's great.

I used Paint.NET to make the frames and then I merged them all with the APNG assembler

chutem, how would I make that effect?.... maybe tomorrow if I find some free time.

Just use the same frames but make them go in reverse eg:
In the zip file:
Frame1
Frame2
Frame3
Frame4
Frame5 *Just a copy of frame3 but renamed
Frame6 *copy of frame2, renamed
Frame7 *I think you can get the idea by nowEdit: You wouldn't make a copy of the first frame, or it would be displayed twice in the loop

For the fade, just make some more pics of the original at %10 opacity, %20, %30, etc... and then add them on at the end.
