I'd rather be deaf than blind.

Being blind would force me to be completely dependent on others greatly, because I can't see a thing and therefore I can't perform many actions. Being deaf, I simply can't hear and I wouldn't really be able to talk, but at least I can still enjoy most of life's stuff, except music (which can be a real pain, I love music) which can make life seem pretty dull.

I'm sorry but I hate this topic, and I hate the way it's been carried out. If it was full of philosophical ideas, I wouldn't be writing a boring old complaint post. But you should be talking about things like "What would you literally see if you were blind? Black? White? Red?" How would you elarn sign language when completely deaf? You won't be taught how by verbal obviosuly? Questions like that. Instead, we have some real characters going on about how they can't have sex properly (How deplorable) and we've even got soemone who is going on about his 7" member. I'd rather be deaf, humman nature is built on assumption and you can't assume much from just hearin.

those questions are superficial at best. you would literally not see if you were blind. and sign language is obviously picked up in a similar fashion to spoken and written language.

In all honesty, the sense I'd love to lose out of all of them would be the sense of smell. It's bloody useless, and a lot of times, annoying.

A lot of what you taste comes from your ability to smell. I had a sinus infection about 2 months ago and I couldn't taste worth s**t

this question is like asking somebody WHAT TYPE OF CANCER WOULD YOU LIKE TO HAVE. you guys probably think it's as simple as HEY LEAST AFFECTING ORGAN GOGOGOGGOGO, seriously go talk to somebody with cancer and if you don't feel like s**t after you're a dumbass.

i have nothing against either disability and i actually know many completely deaf people

but the fact is you shouldnt feel like you cant talk or joke about it just because you dont have that disability. infact i know a blind drummer who gets the "wow the fact that youre blind and can still play drums like that is so great" bullshit all the time. one thing i learnt from him is that you shouldnt make the disability out to be something its not. sure its a terrible thing to happen to anyone, but let the person deal with that themselves and treat them as an otherwise normal person

I'm not sure.  I've heard that blind people still dream in color, since the brain is still technically able to process that sort of information, so you'd assume the same would be true with sounds.  On the other hand, I don't ever remember dreaming in colors that I've never seen before, so I have trouble understanding how a blind person could.

Ok, I'd choose deaf. Even if music is the biggest part of my life.
I already plan on getting deaf with music too loud
And the reason why I will, is because I'll still be able to "feel" it.
Bass is easier to feel then higher frequency, just places mid ranges all over your body and a big sub woofer and you're set After a while you'd get used to it and enjoy music like that... but it would be weird.. lol
