The maximal distance a LAW-Bullet can reach *edit* on a flat area */edit* is 106,49 soldat-meters.

I wrote a program to simulate the bullet line, set the tip of my player to a 45° angle to the main position and calculated the distance between the point where the bullet will hit the ground and my player on a flat area, then devided that value by 14 (14 px = 1 soldat-meter) and there you go, 106,49 meters with the default bulletspeed of a law. Yeah, I wasted 2 hours of my lifetime to pwn a nab :D

I'm pretty sure you forgot the fact that you're able to shoot the law while moving.

Yes, but it's not easy and why "forgot"?

He didn't think about it when he made the program. What I'm saying here is that if you come up with such an accurate result, why not take it all the way to the end? Of course I can be wrong though, maybe he thought about it, maybe not.

They own player's movement doesn't effect the bulletspeed, and my result was for a flat area. Of course, if you make a map with a big mountian and shoot to the valley, the distance can be higher. But there we'd have to think about the default time to life of a bullet again, which is 420 ticks (60 ticks = 1 second, 420 ticks = 7 seconds).

It doesn't? At least for M79 it does, and I suppose it does for every other weapon, too.

Sorry, you're right, the X and Y force values of a player will be added to the bullet-force. Dunno how it's done exactly and I'm to lazy to find it out now, but I know that the x-force value of a player at crouching is about 0.1, which wouldn't really effect all that stuff.

In the end it doesn't matter that much though, I'd guess telling people that it's impossible to shoot 600 soldat meters should be enough. 8>

rico's aren't even that hard to master...you don't really master ricochets, you SPOT and CALCULATE them it's easy if you train on maps with curved tunnels or para-spawns with straight ground below...best trained with a barret, or a steyr...but still i put a non-moving bot where that guy was and did the exact same shot it was torso shot :D
ns indeed...however, for you barretards out there who think they got something try hitting moving targets under the bink of 8 minimi shots :D
