I was on Knox's RS server and I get kicked for using a minigun, despite the fact that I'd used several other weapons for the entire map beforehand.

I'd been varying autos, even M79ed for awhile, and then I decided to mess around with the mini. I usually continuously click the left mouse button to charge the mini but not fire it so the startup doesn't effect me as much, so I'd been doing that.

I killed ONE teammember, that being when I first selected the mini, so it showed up as me fisting him because of that stupid "Click the wep and if a teammate is near you punch them" bug thing or whatever you'd call it.

I never got off a single bullet at first, yet some jackass was claiming I was spraying the team. Seriously, I not ONCE fired a ****ing bullet, and he's crying foul at me. Then, I actually DO get a shot off at a red, and I get killed. The first time I DO get the shot off and I get killed.

Then, he votekicks me.

This is actually the first time I've EVER been kicked for using a mini. I mean, I've kicked people for abusing it-- and if I was abusing it I couldn't blame the guy for votekicking me-- but I'd never even fired once until I ran into a red underground at Laos!

I'm seriously getting sick and tired of people complaining over what weapons people choose in Soldat. I've been playing this game for over two years now, I've learned to at least decently use each weapon in the game, and I've developed tactics for various maps and know how to handle myself in big games. Yet every time I decide to switch things up a little and experiment with some other weapon, there's always some idiot who cries foul.

Bah, I mean you'd think I'd be used to this after all this time, but damn did that annoy me.

Many people don't use and kick the minigun becuase it's refered to as the 'lag generator' with the amount and speed of bullets it churns out in a second

And I get that and, on that note, also agree with you.

HOWEVER... I wasn't generating lag and from what I remember, everyone's pings were fine. I'd only gotten off one burst of LESS then 30 bullets on the one red I came across, the rest of the time I hadn't fired once.

So I really have no clue what that guy was freaking out over x_o

By the way, in order to avoid that whole fire-once and/or punch-teammate thing, I've taught myself to use 1-0 to select a weapon, rather than the mouse.

NorrisScott, there will always be idiots and really mean people in soldat. I was in a ctf in Maya and b2b, and all bravo did was spawn camp/kill our base the whole damn game. They won by so much because they didn't have the guts to come out and face us, they just killed us as soon as we respawned. Not only that, but they had 2 more players than us, making it even more unfair. Bunch of ****s.

oh my freakin... might as well post this in here, since it's relevant to the subject.

I just joined U13 public CTF... before I could even select my weapon, the server did a vote kick for possible hacking... and maybe 3-4 seconds later I was voted to leave the game. WHAT??? I never used a hack in my life, and even if I did, I wouldn't have had enough TIME to hack. But they voted me out anyway... I was in and out like a hyperactive sex maniac >_<

That doesn't work at the beggining of the game for me because I still need to click somewhere to close the menu

And ye sometimes it does suck when you get kicked for choosing one weapon
once someone started a vote to kick me just because I was killing a lot of people with the saw -_-

That's unusual, that you were actually kicked because of it.  I think U13 does that to a random player whenever the server is full and someone tries to join.  I'm pretty sure it's a scripted server issue, not because people actually thought you were hacking.
