ctf_Hillside by DarkCrusade

Okay, long time since my latest map I think ;D Just started again with a layout I had in mind. The spawns are like you can see in a cave above the ground to save a bit from spawning. The col at the cave is only bullets collide, so you wont get much trouble with getting out. Medis spawn at top at a place where you dont go, if you want to get to the enemy flag, what´s a measure to not let the efc get his hp back so easily without loosing speed. Nades spawn behind flags, you can take a kit if you come out. Jets are set to low, so there are 3 routes: one on the ground (fast), the one with the hills (slower but safer) and upper with jetting through sky where clouds hide you a bit (slowest but safest).

Well ... screen and files are in attachment, if you have anything to suggest let me know, espicially for the two sides of the upper path where you can offmap, dont know how to fill the space to set there invisible polygons ;D

That's a really awesome shading / texturing effect you've got there. :) Only suggestion I have is to maybe make the map's edges less round and more jagged.
There are other worlds than these

Nah, we need a bright cheery map that plays good.  Don't make it darker.  Looks great atm. 

I agree with jrgp's suggestion.

Thanks :) Yeah, I can imagine, that the map would look good with jagged edges, I´ll simply try it out. But first of all here´s the newest version, which has better shading/lighting and more and important obstacles and colliders where put in.

We tested the map at #soldat.mapping and it was very nice. Jets are now too low and map is very buggy at the moment, but objectplacing and layout are cool. All I need now is to fix the bugs ;D

mainly you dont comment your own map with "very nice" and stuff...

it is supposed to be other people that does that....

I didnt want to tell about the map with this "very nice" (I don´t do that things ;) ), it was fun to play / I found it was a nice experience. Something going more this direction ;D

Dark, have to admit, looks like one of your best maps you have made. Visuals look very creative and the design is original. Only thing for me to do is to test out the gameplay.
