T/DM Glowing Dawn IV - now waypointed *Update Apr-13, 09*

Glowing Dawn IV

Continuing this series of background maps, that some of you might remember.

Enjoy the dawn in an south-east asian landscape while battling with other soldiers. Fight for dominance on the surface that is covered it smooth sunshine or duke it out underground where some rebels once housed around the area of a small pond.

This map includes some nice, new custom sceneries and supports DM, HTF and TDM (for 2 teams). Recommended are both DM modes, I have no idea how good HTF would work out on this map.

No waypoints. As usual, skilled waypointers are invited to finish this job ;)

Update, Apr-13, 09: Map now waypointed and even more debugged by VirtualTT

Update, Apr-05, 09: Several polybugs have now been fixed.

Ahhh i really like the atmosphere:)

i also like how you made it kinda cambodia styled with the top open area and then the underground chaos:)

the custom sceneries also rocks


good comeback if you ask me:)


EDIT: this map is also very buggy:( check out this http://forums.soldat.pl/index.php?topic=33537.0 to see how to fix it

This version beats all others if it werent for the bugs:(

he hits the theme better than in any of the others

Yes, but the tower had some tactical advantages, looks are important, but layout is more important

Hmmh, tried to construct as bugfree as possible. If there are some special places with very annoying bugs, please mark em on a screen and Ill get to fixing it (such as Im doing with ctf_Swamplands).

Stunning map...absolutely love the theme and atmosphere you have rather created a desert like impact. It's also leering towards the country quality too although gameplay is very good. Also another great dm I have to say.

I remember playing an older version of this map on a server with some players, it was really fun. This version looks a lot better. The scenery and looks are awsome. If this map was waypointed it should be added to 1.5.0.

Oh my, I believe I remember the first version.. if it was the first version.  Maybe I'm trying to stretch my hand too far back, not sure..

Yes, the atmosphere flows, to the extreme. Nice work.

Just take a look on the screenie i made for Swamplands   then zoom in on the map in pw and find the sticking polygons and also fix the polygons that doesnt overlapp each other

I like the sun mostly(probably because I failed with my own one recently)

Nice good looking map ;)

9,5/10 stars

For the amazing looks, It feels quite smooth for me, I like the lower part of the map, sneaking etc.

The only thing I do not like is that the top is some kind of sprayfest.

Map has been even more debugged and waypointed by VirtualTT. Big thanks to him!
