Call of Duty Perk Mode
« on: April 15, 2009, 04:22:39 pm »
Oh geez, I never knew how to script, but from the ability from Hexer mod, I think it's possible. Now let me list. (I took out some perks, because it is completely USELESS in soldat gameplay.)

Perk 1=

C4 x 2 - Have a grenade or two in a place. (Command: /c4 and to detonate: /det)
Claymore x 2 - Have three grenades in one spot. (Command: /claymore)
RPG-7 x 2 - Have law for it. Instead of one shot reload, make it have two, and I think force it to disappear or lot letting it reload. (Command: /rpg)
Frag x 3 - Start out with one in the beginning, then let it have three when you have this perk. (Command: /frag)

Perk 2=

Juggernaut - Have more health/have a bullet proof vest. (Command: /health or /juggernaut)

Slieght of hand - Name explains it. Faster reload for all guns. It might be worth it for Minimi users. (Command: /reload or /slieght)

Stopping power - Simple, more damage. All guns have greater power. (Command: /power or /stopping)

Sonic Boom - Huge grenade/bigger explosion. Although I don't have any idea if grenades can get a bigger bang in the game than ordinary explosion. (Command: /sonic or /boom)

Double Tap - Faster fire rate. It's definitely nice for all auto users. (Command: /double)

Perk 3= (Other script suggestions for other perks would be great!)

Martyrdom - Drop a grenade when you die. (Command: /marty)

Other ideas:
You CANNOT have chainsaws, as in the real gameplay, only pistols. I'm still thinking about secondary weapons since there are Knife and Socom.
Health can be regenerated in three seconds if there are no shooting. If that's not possible, just simply have the health recovered in three seconds.

I rushed this idea in thirty minutes, so give me a time to fix it later. But tell me how you guys think it is!

Maybe you should explain what the general idea is? Not everybody plays CoD and knows what a 'perk' is, including me.

For starters, it isn't possible to just increase the fire rate of a weapon for one person. You can increase the rate of a weapon type by changing weaponmods, but that goes for all players instantly.
Explosions cant get bigger, but clustering a few will make it look bigger, plus more sound.
And there is no way to know if a player is shooting (unless he hits another player).

While I do like the idea's of some of the perks(especially the mrtyrdom, I think that should be implemented in regular gameplay, as an excuse if u died before u got to use all ur grenades, then u still drop one.)

But as for the health idea, no. It would make gameplay horribly SLOW, as everyone would peek their little heads out, take some damage, and then camp some more.

Hmmm... Good point.

For all the people, Call of Duty is an FPS game for PC, XBox360, and PS3.

Basically, it's a real-history based game. In the multiplayer match, players will get to have three perks, as listed above. Each perk has special purpose. Although there are lot more perks, as I said above, many are useless in soldat gameplay.

C4, Claymore - those nades will explode after few seconds. They can't last longer.
RPG-7 - weapons.ini
Frag - cluster grenades?
jug - possible
slieght - impossible
power - possible
sonic - suicide bomb?
double - impossible
martyrdom - possible

But as for the health idea, no. It would make gameplay horribly SLOW, as everyone would peek their little heads out, take some damage, and then camp some more.
CoD - hide-shoot-hide(on lower difficulties you can move).
I think health would be good, but 3 seconds is too short time, it should be sth like 5-7.

PS. I played CoD only on single player.

I don't know if you played soldat enough. But no, most of these are possible you idiot, except for Sleight of Hand. I'm worried about that one. But except for that, they can all be scripted.

slieght can somewhat be possible by just ForceWeaponing the same weapon to auto reload once, rather then speeding up the actual reload time, it would make one instantaneous.
Matryrdom would be pretty useless in Soldat though, sense you can see and hear grenades fairly well, but it may be taken advantage of on certain maps.

Increasing fire rate for single player is not possible, and it's only thing except sleight with mark 'impossible'

Just an idea. Multiply damage by 2.

I forget what it's called. The thing where you die but have your pistol lying on the ground.
Force socom and freeze player with 50% or something.

Nice idea, but how are you going to control the timing? I know this trick works for the 'law master'-skill, where if one kills a player with a law, the weapon will reload instantly. But then the whole thing is timed by OnPlayerDamage.

You could maybe add the 'Bandolier' perk. The one that enables you to hold more ammo than before. It would be nice to have for use with Deagles and the 'Double Tap' perk. (Aka: ownage)

But bandolier means more ammo/clips. Obviously, it's useless since soldat has infinite reloading ability.

But if you guys want to add CoD:WaW's, we could have drum magazine (more ammo capacity)

In Cod4 it is called Bandolier. o: As well, it's obvious that he doesn't mean to have more clips added to each weapon. Since infinite clips are already there, just let us poor people get back our 30 bullet (or more) Steyr!

When I say "bandolier", I'm referring to the extra clips. But, as Shinobars stated, that doesn't matter in Soldat. Therefore, I'm referring to the extra ammo that goes along with the "extra clips".

Ast for c4, it would be niceif it would be placed as mines, but after you die (1, maybe 2 or 3 times) they dissapear.

As for claymore, it should be a bit easier to spot.

Rpg should modify the law to have shorter reload

The servers should be realistic ones if they would make the equality of hc, while normal should use the realistic wep mod (for recoil, as it is an important part of the game)

And for the attachments, idk.

As for last stand, after you die (or when you get to 1hp you spawn at the same place, but you cant move (there is a hexer/mmod ability that dissalows the player to move)) and you get only socom.
Last year, I dreamt I was pissing at a restroom, but I missed the urinal and my penis exploded.
