Animation Ideas. (Picture Heavy).
« on: April 14, 2009, 09:31:11 pm »
I was playing around n my vector program and I made some cool drawings. They are now PNG's because .SVGs don't work on the forum. I'm planning to make an animation out of them, as they are quite cool. Some of them my friend drew.

Yes it is inspired by Castle Crashers.

There are more, but these are all for now.

Pirate (Mine)

The Kings Kitty (Mine)

Shaman (My friends)

The town pub (Mine)

Shippies (Mine)

WYBMO (My Friends)

Stegosaurus (Mine)

Knight (Mine)

And finally my banner which is a medley of all my characters:

The shaman doesn't match the rest in terms of style (since it was done by your friend)

I believe the term I am looking for is quirky. Not bad.

When you see some of the scenes we made (we've got whole sets, just like movies), you'll see it all fits.

Catgirls...

I drew them in paint.NET and used Vector Magic to vectorise them. Vector magic costs money, I am using the schools one, they let me use it for $20, so now it's permanently installed on my PC. Yay.

I hate the way the forum displays pictures.

Also they are really cool.

Meh, stop wasting money on commercial image editing software. Checkout Inkscape, a free and _extremely_ popular programming for making vector images. Many of the images used in the layout for these forums and soldat.pl were made by EH in inkscape.

Also, undoubtedly a-4-year-old will bash my post and tell you to ignore open source software like gimp, inkscape, Linux, etc. Ignore him.

Nice vector drawings. How are you planning to make an animation out of them?

Keep in mind that there are some retail programs out there that are superior to open source programs. While Inkscape is probably the best vector program out there, programs like GIMP can't even compare to Photoshop.

Choose wisely.

OP: You're very good at drawing in Dan Paladin's cartoony style.
