1.5 screen turns transparent white?

I downloaded the 1.5 patch today and started it up as usual. I chose a new DM map with a bot and played for a few minutes. All of a sudden the screen has a large transparent white rectangle (same ratio as screen) that took up around 75% of the screen.

At the time I took a screenshot BUT I forgot to paste it into paint to save. If this happens again, I'll be sure to do so.

Notes: 640x480 res, video comp, winXP

You have accidently clicked the "~" button,
the white transparent white belongs to the chat
(which you could connect throght the main manu).
anyway, just reclick the ~ and it would disapear.
it isn't a bug anyway, just incomplete chat stuff ^^
