Massive lag in menus

Couldn't find this in any other thread.
Whenever I have the F1 menu or the choose weapon menu open the FPS drops down to 9~15. It goes back up when the menu is closed.

CPU: Athlon XP 2000+
GPU: Nvidia Geforce FX 5200

Yeah, I know, it's old. But 1.4 didn't have this issue. =s

Do you use any other language for Soldat than English?
Try at the config - Video Compatibility and so on check out if that helps.

I tried setting video compatibility and it seemed to work. If I get the same problem again I'll post in here again.

i have the same problem, and i cant play ctf_x and icebeam because
my fps down..

Try setting in the config it as 16bit, if it doesn't work also put Video Compatibility on.

Ok, video compatiblity didn't really help. It's kinda random, sometimes the lag is there, sometimes it isn't.

OMG i must say my computer is a bit old and s**tty, but ive played be4 with 30 fps, now whenever any1 shoots with autos my fps drops to 0-5, have disabled trails and everything, got same prob with the menus too omfg :/
