Forum Spell Check

This may seem really minor, but it annoys me that wtf, lol, w/e and so forth aren't in the forums spell checker dictionary.

I find it funny that sometimes the spell checker shows some words wrong that are very easy spelling and you'd think the spell checker wouldn't highlight them.  It would also be so cool to have like a grammar checker.  I'd love that.

Because they aren't valid English words.

well i can add some purpose to this topic

i lost quite a bit of sleep recently when i noticed that the spell checker doesnt have some words in its dictionary. noticeability spelt and liason are just a few

Which spellchecker are we talking about? The automatic Firefox field checker or the Spell Check button right next to Post?

Okay, if it's FF (which it also is as it underlines internet acronyms and the like phrases in red) we can't do anything about it.

As for SMF's "Spell Check" button, that uses this program that's installed on the server and is not a part of SMF.

So if we're to add words to the SMF's Spell Check feature, that involves adding words to Aspell's dictionary. I'll look into that at some point.

you can find lol in dictionaries nowadays.
