Very simple problem.

I searched, and I couldn't find it for some reason, which is odd, because I'm sure someone has had this exact problem before.

Everything is fine, but when I try to join a server, Soldat just completely closes.

Any suggestions?

Can you post some screenshots of the issue, also please describe it in a bit more detail exactly what happends? Any errors come up etc?

Try running your Soldat in administrator mode.

That's the thing, nothing happens. It's just gone.

Okay, I'll try that when my Architect class is over.

By administrator mode, do you mean be on the administrator account on my computer?

No, right click soldat > properties > compatibility > tick run as admin.

Or right click>run as administrator, though what jrgp said means it will always start up in admin mode.

Still i can't make this shit work....it's the same for me...it just close.....

it's like a very short black screen for 1/2 sec an then I'm back on the desktop.....i have a updated directx...and all that shit...it work fine on the142 but now it just don't want to work....kisses from Zmaster to the one how fixes this.

Run in 256 colors.
Run in 640 x 480.
Disable visual themes.
Turn off advanced text services for this program.

Yeah XP has no "Run as admin" mode, so you must be in an admin account. Are you using a guest or admin account?

i have tried all of that that have been sugested in this forum and it still don´t work.... soldat 142 work fine so i don´t know.....

Well play 1.4.2 then, I'm going to search for a solution.

EDIT: have you got Hardware acceleration full?
