Severe Frame Rate drop when hitting people.

I'm playing with 250 ping and it runs fine, but when i hit someone and the blood comes out it's extremely laggy (frame wise). When other people hit others, it's fine, just when I hit them. It was a zombie RPG game. Is this a script lag thing, a netcode thing, a lag thing or a soldat engine thing?

Open up task manager and tell me if the CPU usage of Soldat.exe spikes to 90-100% at the time of the video lag.

I have 2GB RAM and a 2.53GHz processor duo if that's any help.

EDIT: I played a green ping server and it was fine.

But you're lag was FPS lag. So that can't be the matter. I have no doubt someone on the server was either spraying the minigun constantly or a hacker was spraying some other kind of heavy auto.

Ok. played again. It didn't spike to %80+ at all for the whole game, but the frame rate drop still occured.

No there was no minguns at all.

It was very quiet. No-one was talking at all.

do you have an alibi for this?

anyway, I hope you've tried to reinstall soldat (the whole process). otherwise, you can just format windows, it doesn't take more than an hour or two.
also, do you play any other games or apps that steals your CPU power?

Might also be some virus or something, you should run anti-ad ware and anti-virus programs.

I think I have a virus, the mouse will randomly appear in the top left corner of my screen, it realle annoying, especially during soldat, it makes the cursor fly up there. I've run scans and nothing. I've even combofixed (without script). I'll tech forum it.

It happens only in that server.

Never heard of a virus causing random mouse movement...You're either facing a hacker or someone has your IP and PC Admin pass and is using it to work on your PC from outside.

I guess you have a microsoft mouse. mine freaks out every now and then. it also scrolls sometimes when I click... after all it's 5 years old.

Well I doubt I'm hacked, the mouse sucks after all anyway. It did it when we first had the PC anyway.

I would like to mention that I also lag very bad whenever I am killing a zombie in that same RPG server. I was assuming there's something wrong with the script itself, because I never have FPS problems anywhere else.

Yeah, it's only when I'm hitting a zombie, so I think it's safe to say it's a script error or a scriptcore error, though the scriptcore it pretty tank.
