I was hoping there would be a feature in the Character Options to let you put in your past name. I thought maybe it could show up in smaller text under your name when you put your mouse over it.. If someone didn't want it, they could leave it blank and it wouldn't show up.. It sucks when you change your name and when you greet someone you know and there is a huge confusion on who you are thus leading to a long explanation.. It wouldn't show up on the F1 menu or as on the Nearby-Teammate feature, only on your mouse. I hope I made sense..

As what Niko said, some people would want to remain anonymous and they have a right to do so by changing their name completely and not having a past record on who they are. Besides, if someone REALLY remembers you in the first place, just reminding them of your past name is enough. No point keeping a record of your past name if no one remembers it anyway, it's only more problematic.

Yes, there are cases of idiots who purposely change their names just to cause a nuisance, but those idiots are easily identifiable even without that past record thing.

Maybe, instead of requesting a new feature, try choosing and sticking with one nickname?
