Is enesce using a different scriptcore?
« on: July 08, 2009, 04:30:09 pm »
I have a weird problem...

I have a script that is working on a home server, but it's not working on my rented enesce server. Aren't they both running -= Soldat Dedicated Server 1.5.0 - 2.6.5 =- ? The script works when you join the server and stuff but some stuff in the script is not working like, its a HnS script (not Iq's) and its not moving playing to spectator sometimes or changing map.

Are you using linux or windows, the problem might be in the OS.
Last year, I dreamt I was pissing at a restroom, but I missed the urinal and my penis exploded.

Really Enesce is using newest, unreleased versions of soldat server...
So if he create some new bugs there - you'll **** with them first :)
But still it have some positive sides.

the home had windows and enesce has linux, but what could be the problem? there is no error in the script, (the script compiles in enesce, too) so how will we know where the error is from?

Identical:
One has linux, other has windows, one uses the script successfully, other doesnt use script successfully.
Try to host it on an another computer with dual boot (otherwise youll need 2 computers) and test it on the linux boot, and then on the windows boot.
One of them will fail (obviously linux will be this time).

@ Neosano- He removed the dev server versions, im pretty sure in that.

Running a server that doesn't fail in scripting is just a matter of luck.

Are you sure you aren't using something operating system dependent in your script, like using \ (windows) for folder/file directory separation instead of / (linux)?
There are other worlds than these

He fixed it by putting in a script that told him where the errors were and he fixed 'em.

Thanks for your help.

Umm, no, I didn't fix them. They just disappeared...
