Snakebite (Remake for the contest)

First draft of my snakebite remake for the contest fixed polystructure, waypoints and some small layout changes here and there and a change in base design to make lower way more useful. idea shamefully stolen from suow unique map ideas topic ;)

Are those pillars to the left and below the red flag opc or obc?
For signatures, you are allowed only one image in your signature which may not be wider and taller than 300 and 125 pixels, and may not be over 20kB in file size. No BMPs are allowed.

Just tested it, comparing to original, it's great. Everybody on server liked it. Those opcs really smooths the game and make map much more interesting.

Issue: Medics piled up into bottom and center was run out of medics all the time, that's why middle route was very boring to go.

Add medic spawns also in center of middle route.

I also think that bottom route doesn't need medic.

You could also add number of medics, dunno how many there were but it felt few.

One small thing also, make the middle route bridge a bit longer, so that when flag drop down, it drops into bottom for sure. It dropped once and get stuck on corner bridge, lost one cap cos of that :(.

Got wrong texture in game, which sucked, but I don't like much about the overview looks either :S. Could be more colorful, jungle/desert combination.

Flag places are kinda unreliable - flags tend to fall down or just stuck hiding behind polygons.

Awesome detail with the snake! :D but most of the snake should be shown, I think.

Till now I saw the snake only on the overview and didn´t like it. The snake looks very good in Polyworks so I guess you can stay with it :) The space below the flagbase looks almost empty. Add background or whatever there to make it look better. Use the empty space you have right now. Some sandy mountainranges in the back would look wonderful on this map by the way ;)

have already tried with mountains in the back and well it will look good it probably will be a bit annoying when playing.

Saw VTTs new TW map? You can set the mountainranges with a low opacity and it won´t disturb players.

personally it doesn't disturb me, however most of "pro" soldat it will disturb and well its them who chooses the maps for default so gotta adjust to their demands.

Well, in my opinion we should remake all default Soldat maps and take the best ones after perfecting them (fixing of polybugs + waypointing). That would probably be a good step to making Soldat more attractive (in the age of high end computer games (Halo) a 2D funshooter is kind of displaced when there are not enough pretty maps). Maps like ctf_Kampf or ctf_Run are nice, no discussion about that, but need to get updated like Airpirates.
