Since there are quite a few minecrafters here on the forums, I thought I'd let them know:

Some user-made mods for Minecraft can steal your passwords, and over 1500 people had their accounts compromised. See this page for more info and check if your account has been hacked (don't worry, it only checks your account name, it doesn't ask you for the password).

yeeeeee that's why i wasn't really crazy about using some 3rd party sites to play older versions of minecraft etc |:
