Background shines out from the polygons well and it isn't that much distracting as it seems, which is a good achievement.
And woah, layout is one of it's kind.. Yes, it's so bad that I find it utterly pointless to even critize. There's no way to save this
piece of shit falling to the pits of unpopularity, helplessness and mistreatment. Incase you make it a whole new map without deadends
and with more actual routes instead of one tight all-in-war route full of squiggles you decide to call spikes. Also, remember to multiple this
gap between bravo and alpha spawns atleast ten times.

Once I thought about a layout like you used here, but my version had more flow. Try adding tunnels to this map and it will be fine, trust me.

Trust you. Yes.
No, really this map doesn't meet any conditions of ctf, it would make a good db map however... =P

Nice background and color scheme imao.
Maybe you could adapt the layout to make a db map?
( shrink it, only player collides polys, ...)
Idk, just an idea cause my first impression was that it kinda looks like a db map.

One of the most important "skills" in mapping is courage to fail, courage to try something different. Okay this map fails at the moment, those dead end tunnels are just too awkward for the play.
The bg scenery isn't the most distracting kind, but still sort of. Setting background scenery is the shortcut for making good looking overview/theme. However it shouldn't ever distract the play, at least not in default maps.
DarkCrusade's fixes look okay, use them
I agree that it might fit better for other mod than ctf.

m79/ grenade/ spas heaven.
Next please.
Which pretty much means that some weapons are at a giant disadvantage when playing this map. If you wanted to actually make a map for specific weapons, make it even more suitable for them then. E.g. if you want a pure short-range/ m79 map, make stuff more roundish with small islands that block long-range fire. Well, you get the point.

Well people, thanks for the critics.
Really.
As Suowarrior said, my objective here is to improve my skills.
As many ppl said also, I get better work on a map with more open routes, less dead ends and less distractive scenerys.
Okay, my only objective here is to make good maps, improving them so I can do a great map one day.
Thanks for the critics.
Hope my next maps gets better and better :]
