How to modify the trail of the nade

Well, ive been trying to modify the nade, so its more visible, and i made it blue. It works, but the trail stays green.
I know that the trail of the nade is in a separate file, but i don't know what that file is.
So if anyone could be kind enough to tell me where that file is, i would be grateful.

bullet.bmp/png. Try pink, it works. Some colors works, some not.

i tried editing it in photoshop, and i replaced it with a blue gradient, but it dosent work ingame.

Uhh, I modded my nade trails and now they go through the level? Is this normal?

EDIT:Fixed it and got it working, but still, wth?
