Chainsaw is useless

becuase of this topic...i've lost my sniper skills becuase it's inspired me to use the novelty weapon and now it has become my main pwnage device.

the only thing that annoys me is to kill someone you have to use 'rev' the saw, using about 10 ammo before you even strike your target, so the lag part of youself hits them.

In clan matches, or public games? Because the latter isn't as hard as people may think. I've done it quite a few times.

While the chainsaw can be used for an open area kill, I always see it used either to spawn kill, flag camp for surprise kills, or crate hiding to kill any who pass. None of this requires skill yet will ensure the chainsawer a high K:D ratio. This is why I'm never impressed with blanket K:D stats and high kill counts -- there are a number things that are easy to do which grant lots of effortless kills.

Maybe it  would, but I don't see any  way that it can really be improved to the level of the other secondaries without fundamentally changing it (e.g. letting you throw it as some people have suggested).  I don't know, maybe the range could be increased by a little, but it would still be the shortest range secondary, and probably the least useful.  If there were a way to improve it to the level of the other secondaries while keeping the spirit of being a chainsaw,  then I would be all for it.


The main problem with it right now is that in short range, it's not much better than the knife, and it doesn't make much sense to make it long range.

The chainsaw is, if you haven't guessed, my primary, and only weapon when playing soldat.  And the only thing I'd change about it, is to make it an actual instant kill, rather then a 2 hit.

As it stands, the chainsaw is probably one of the most powerful weapon in the game.  And easily one of the most fun ones to use.  There's nothing better then plowing through a crowd of people, or dive sawing into the enemy flagger right before he scores to save your team.   

Those of you who think that the chainsaw is a joke, or takes no skill to use, have obviously never seen a true sawer in action, let alone try to saw theirself.

chainsaw is good in some places where others dont see u and run through that bush or camoflage and u just kill him. good im dm

only problem is in none Realistic where i doesnt have a 1 hit kill just make it more powerful. In Realistic u need to get some air ly down and jet then hold fire.

if you know how to play with a chainsaw.. you are have to know how to play with it

Go to Cyborgs chainsaw server and tell him the chainsaw is useless, then you will get a taste of it in the side of your head.
