Bolt's H&S Maps
« on: January 27, 2009, 05:03:00 am »
Newest at the Top

Tellie (Picture)
I made this one today, and I've just finished it in the last hour. Uses poly teleports to travel between rooms. I think I removed all errors and it all runs smoothly. This map is simply for running, hiding is basically a no-go.

Circ2 (Picture)
Made a few adjustments to Circ, changed colours, made it look cooler, background colour and a secret room with a cool couch and trippy telepoles.

Circ (Picture)
A good map for running, inspired by Arena2 in it's purpose. Just for running and finishing a round of H&S, much like Arena2 is used for.

ctf_Igny (Picture)
A fully functional ctf map with a lot of H&S potential. Cool routes and a centre pipe which is cool to go down.

I don't really like any of them to be honest. They're all just plain and uncreative...
Football is the other face of the world. If you don't like it, then you can get the hell out!

Hehe, for some reason, I find Tellie to be... sum'ut (somewhat) humorous.  Don't really like Circ, as Circ2 simply looks better and essentially is the same thing.  Obviously, the DM maps aren't meant for too many players.

As you've probably noticed, Tellie looks like it would birth Cat n' Mouse matches.  I still like it though.  Wish you could send knives through 'teleporters...'

Edit:

Duh, Hide and Seek.  Of course it would be a cat n' mouse match.

well now ive tested the maps

in my opinion tellie is waaaay too cramped..

and for circ... why is there deadlies in the middle?? also some bugs need to be fixed..

last but not baddest for Igny.... i tried this map and found a big failure in map....

when you jump out of platform you can fly under the map.. BUT in the middle there is an invisible wall with deadlys??? it would be much cooler if you removed that and just placed an invisible killing border some squars under map,..

in my opinion... ... ..

You sound like ur maps are perfect..
The fact is your map is full of stuff which makes people dislike it.
People just has studies or work, so they don't have free time to list all of ur problems mate.
This mod is hide and seek after all, right? Dragueer might not be aware of this.

Topic:

Plain and calmness is what nowaday maps are missing.
Overdoing and futilities are stealing the eye of overwiev-enjoyers.
Even thought it looks like crysis, but when you play them in servers..
They might have same reaction like 'cool' White Hawk's bouncy polyart climbing maps had.
(no offence whitey)

--

From my aspect, this style is great, you don't need to do anything worse or better.
Its easy to play etc..
Keep up the work!
