i think that the weapon system in the special ops mod it the best that you clould have. take a look at it and test all the different weapons. my favorit are the dual socoms, micro uzi, ak drum clip, mat7-62mm, shotgun, socom 2, mm-1, Dragunov, pkm, hk-21, with the Kahr P40, combat knife, chainsaw, and RPD. everyone, whether they like the current weapon balance or not should check out the mod and weigh its setup against normal soldat.

A mod only changes the graphics and not the gun statistic themselves, although it could be the result of a psychological connotation that the guns kill more easily with a mod.
Btw, the weapons are balanced, if you play against bots.
No, seriously, because if you make a game in Soldat with bots, you and the bots all have 0 ping, so every shot registers and the guns do the damage they're supposed to do.

no, it doesnt only change that. each gun has diff amo, fire rates, dammage, reload time, ect. did you actually play with it after setting it up right?

There is no weapon balance within the special operation mod. If there was then post the contents of that weapons.ini file here.

if not for the limit on the size, i could post the entire mod i receaved here. you also dont accept 7z format, but if you could redirect me to a mirror location i could upload it and post the link here. it doesnt have one specific .ini, cuz atleast in the mod i got you set up your selected weapons, with several different versions and kinds of each, each with its own stats. give me a mirror to upload, and i shall do so (4.94 mb). or, if you prefer, i could upload each file seperately in different posts, although it would probably wind up jumbled at the end.
and again, you are using the mod correctly if it is one and the same, arent you? make sure you check the box at the bottom left corner in the setup.

Special Operation mod does NOT have any weapon balance edits. The ONLY thing it edits is the pictures of the weapons, and it only changes the general "feel" of the game.
Lock this before it gets even uglier.

oh, no fuckin way. i cannot see how this works. this thing definately changes my game. obviously does, outside of the friggin skins; with this being the only mod i used after several de&reinstallations thanks to a bug*thanks to several mods i had used*, i know what changes what with mods, and i can assur you that there is no obvious explanation for the amazing effects and coincidences of whats going on in my computer if this doesnt. if im wrong, i would certainly feel assholish, but still horribly and completely confused as to wth is up.

That's not very balanced at all. Autos were boosted to infinity, M79 fires 5 shots in a second, LAW shoots 80 invisible bullets, and some other silly junk. Even if it was nice it'd be too radical for anyone in the beta crew to accept. And you shouldn't listen to Fap Marshal BM, he's utterly insane...
